Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high growth PE backed services group based in South Manchester in their search for a Commercial Finance Analyst. This role will partner closely cross functionally within the business teams and play a key role in the financial budgeting whilst helping the wider finance team with other ad-hoc tasks. The outputs from this work will play a pivotal role in informing the strategic decision-making processes of the senior leadership team, and ultimately have a meaningful impact on the EBITDA performance of the business.
We are seeking a qualified and ambitious Accountant who is confident communicating across the business and ambitious to develop internally.
Responsibilities
- Report on service utilisation across different service teams to support workforce planning and efficiency
- Identify capacity gaps, and flag areas for operational improvement
- Support month-end reporting and ongoing performance reviews
- Work with the Data Team to drive automation in reporting
- Own the reporting of customer churn, covering both mid-contract drop-off and end-of-contract non-renewal
- Collaborate with Client Success, Sales, and Service teams to interpret findings and shape retention strategies
- Work with the Data Team to drive automation in reporting
To be suitable for this role you will need to apply excellent excel data extraction, transformation and modelling skills, and couple this with the ability to present/communicate key insights coherently to the senior leadership team. Experience with SQL, Power BI/Power Query, Tableau, or similar programs is highly desirable. You will also be required to work with a range of different teams across the group, utilising strong communication and people skills.
Qualifications/Skills
- High proficiency in Excel Experience of using Tableau, Power Query/Power BI would be an advantage
- A finance qualification CIMA / ACA or ACCA
- A high level of accuracy and a strong eye for detail
- Be able to demonstrate objectivity whilst ensuring financial/data fact is the defining measure
- Confident in highlighting trends and using data to support decisions
- Proactive with a desire to make a difference
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
