Corporate Finance Executive

Sowena Group are supporting a leading UK investment bank in the search for a Corporate Finance Executive to join their team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA professional coming from an audit or advisory background who is looking to transition into a dynamic corporate finance environment.

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established advisory firm with a strong track record of delivering high-quality corporate finance advice to mid-market businesses. The successful candidate will join a growing team and gain exposure to a broad range of M&A and strategic advisory assignments, working closely with senior dealmakers and clients across multiple sectors.

This role offers the chance to develop strong transaction experience in a collaborative and high-performance environment, supporting deals from origination through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side mandates
• Preparing financial analysis, valuation models, and financial due diligence outputs
• Assisting in the preparation of client presentations, information memoranda, and marketing materials
• Conducting industry and company research to support deal origination and execution
• Working with senior team members to manage transaction processes and timelines
• Liaising with clients, legal advisors, accountants, and other professional stakeholders during live deals

Candidate Requirements

• ACA qualified (or equivalent), trained within audit or advisory at a recognised accountancy firm
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and accounting skills
• Demonstrated interest in corporate finance, M&A, or transaction advisory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• A proactive and team-oriented mindset
