Sowena Group has been exclusively retained by a leading, PE-backed FMCG business to appoint a commercially astute FP&A Manager. This is a newly created role designed to support the next phase of growth and transformation across the business.

The business is a major player in its sector, supplying some of the biggest names in UK retail and foodservice. Following recent investment and a period of significant operational change, this role will be central to enhancing the financial planning, analysis and decision-making capability of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across the group
  • Deliver insightful monthly reporting and variance analysis for senior leadership and investors
  • Business partner with key operational and commercial stakeholders to drive performance
  • Build and refine financial models to support investment decisions and strategic planning
  • Support the development of KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility and accountability
  • Contribute to board reporting, investor packs, and strategic projects, including potential M&A activity
  • Challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement across FP&A and broader finance

Qualifications / Skills

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with strong post-qualified experience
  • A proven track record in FP&A, ideally in a fast-paced, product-based environment
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Previous exposure to a PE-backed or transformation environment is highly desirable
  • A self-starter who thrives on ownership, pace, and making a tangible impact
