Job Description
Sowena Group is proud to be exclusively retained by a high-growth, PE-backed FMCG business to recruit a commercially driven FP&A Manager moving into a new Head of FP&A. This newly created role has been designed to support the next phase of transformation and expansion across the organisation.
A key player in its market, the business supplies many of the most recognisable names in UK retail and foodservice. Following recent private equity investment and a period of operational change, this role will be instrumental in strengthening financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making capabilities across the group.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the group’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles
- Produce high-quality monthly performance reporting and variance analysis for senior leadership and investors
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to identify opportunities and drive performance
- Develop and refine financial models to support investment appraisals and strategic initiatives
- Design and implement KPI dashboards to enhance visibility, accountability, and insight
- Contribute to board materials, investor presentations, and strategic projects, including M&A activity
- Continuously improve FP&A processes and help elevate the wider finance function
Qualifications/Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), with strong post-qualification experience
- Proven background in FP&A, ideally within a fast-moving, product-led environment
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise; experience with BI tools is a plus
- Commercially astute, with the confidence to influence and challenge at a senior level
- Prior experience in a PE-backed or transformational environment is highly advantageous
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is motivated by impact and ownership
