Job Description
An impressive, services business experiencing rapid growth. Based in Liverpool with plans for expansion overseas.
Seeking a hands-on, commercial finance leader to shape forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting processes to drive clarity and control. Providing support on investment decisions and commercial projects. This role offers the opportunity to directly work with an exceptional CFO in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, with the added opportunity to contribute to the company’s upcoming overseas expansion plans.
Responsibilities
- Establish and take full ownership of the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Translate financial data into actionable insights, influencing strategic decision-making and maximising shareholder value.
- Develop and refine financial models for acquisitions and projects, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Deliver clear, concise management reporting packs to the Board and Executive team, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Work closely with Treasury and Development teams to forecast and monitor project cash flows.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales, and operations teams to align financial forecasts with commercial realities.
- Secure debt financing for projects, including developing and analysing financial models to compare debt and equity options.
- Implement systems, processes, and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Build and mentor a high performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and business partnering.
Qualifications/Skills
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong track record in FP&A, ideally within the service sector.
- Proven experience in a high growth business.
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills; experience with BI/reporting tools desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Hands-on, proactive, and able to operate strategically and operationally.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
