Job Description

We’re partnering with a fast-growing manufacturer and distributor of technical products, currently undergoing a period of exceptional commercial expansion and transformation. As part of their continued investment in strategic decision-making, they are seeking a Head of Commercial Finance (FP&A) to play a pivotal role in shaping commercial performance across the business.

This is a newly created, high-profile leadership position reporting directly to the CFO. It’s an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys driving strategy and performance through data and insight.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the FP&A function – budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Act as a true business partner across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations
  • Develop commercial reporting packs, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making
  • Analyse product profitability, customer margins, and pricing strategies
  • Support the evaluation and ROI analysis of strategic growth initiatives
  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, modelling, and business intelligence tools
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team
  • Mentor and develop a small, high-performing team



Qualifications/Skills

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with strong post-qualification experience
  • Proven track record in a senior commercial finance or FP&A role – ideally in manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills – able to distil complexity into actionable insight
  • Confident communicator with strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercially astute with a focus on margin, profitability, and growth
  • Comfortable rolling your sleeves up in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
